About Me.
Hello! My name is Stephan aka Oblotzky and I'm a keyboard and keycap enthusiast from Germany. I originally come from a programming background and was looking to upgrade the tool I was using many hours a day. After buying two Filco Majestouch 2 keyboards, one for the office and one for home, a friend sent me a link to the group buy of GMK Carbon that was running on Massdrop (now known as Drop).
Hestiant at first to spend 105$ on keycaps, I hit the order button on the last day and joined around 2000 other people on what would be my first of many group buy participations. While purchasing various keycap sets from Signature Plastics and GMK, I dove into the world of custom keyboards made of CNC'd aluminium, with my first ones by Korean designers Duck, TX and LZ. Many more keyboards and keycap sets followed, always looking for what else people come up with.
After a few years of enjoying the hobby as a consumer and sometimes designer, I had the opportunity to evolve into a vendor. I left my day job behind me and took the plunge in April 2020, launched oblotzky.industries and haven't looked back since. Countless projects and collaborations later, I've grown to a sizable inventory with very broad offerings for keycap sets, as well as keyboards and accessories.
It is an absolute pleasure to work and talk to people from so many different countries in this world, and sometimes even visiting them! Every week brings a new challenge and constantly keeps me on my toes. Sometimes boring stuff like changes in the processing of VAT payments, other times exciting things like reviewing a prototype for a new keyboard that has been in the works for many months and is approaching release to the public.
I'm curious to find out where this road leads me!
